Katazoom For Any Room Katazoom is my newest place to buy wall decals.  It’s been very easy for me to find ones for my daughter’s but I have a hard time finding something for the other rooms in the house.  I finally found one for the kitchen that fits perfectly in one of the spaces that I didn’t have a clue what to do with.  I’m not a big fan of cooking and so my husband does a lot of it when he’s not working.  The only problem with letting my husband cook and me do the clean up is that my kitchen goes from clean to looking like a tornado swept through it in less than a half hour!  So this “Help Keep This Kitchen Clean.  Eat Out.” decal is perfect.  I’m super picky about how things are cleaned too.  (I’m sitting here writing this picturing my husband rolling his eyes at me when I tell him that he isn’t cleaning something right).  I would almost say I have a disorder of sorts when it comes to how things are done.  I grew up with a step-dad that thought it was always “his way or it was the wrong way”.  So I guess some of that rubbed off on me.  After 6 years my husband has finally given up and leaves most of the cleaning to me.  The funny thing is that if I’m not home to see how it was cleaned then I’m okay with it.  If I’m there then you might as well just sit back and watch because if you don’t do it the “right” way then I’ll either take over or re-do it after you’re done.  The only thing that I don’t have an issue with anyone else doing for me is dusting.  I think that’s only because I detest it so much.  Anyway as you can see the decal fits in the space perfectly and is right above my kitchen sink so you see it right when you walk into the kitchen.  I just love how it’s totally something I would say too.  Although I don’t consider myself a decal pro yet I would say that putting word decals on a wall is kind of tricky and somewhat frustrating.  You have to put them up when you have the time to slow down and make sure you’re getting them aligned and flattened in the right spot on the wall.  I had a screaming toddler at the bottom of the step ladder the entire time I was putting this up so I wasn’t exactly able to do it slowly and it just increased the stress level even more.

To get the letter decals on the walls (at least ones that are thinner) you have to take your time and make sure you don’t forget the first step which is to lay the decal face down on a flat surface and rub over it with the edge of a credit card or something similar.  That is one thing I forgot to do before attempting to put the decal up.  Another trick I found was to use that same card to hold the letters on the wall as you pull them from the paper.  Sometimes the letters like to pull back off the wall as you’re pulling the paper away from the rest of the letter.

Other than the little bit of extra stress and forgetting to do the first step I am completely happy with the decal and the quality that Katazoom offers!
